Cancer Services Network provides financial, social, and emotional support to under-served cancer patients and their families in 19 counties in West Central Texas. These counties include, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Kent, Knox, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, and Throckmorton.
What We Do
Information & Patient Advocacy–
CSN is a community portal of information for cancer patients, and we provide assistance to clients by identifying resources throughout the local community.
How do people qualify for services?
Patients are referred by physicians or social workers, then CSN caseworkers assess individual and family needs on a case by case basis. Distributions are based on income and family size.
Financial Services
Prescription Assistance– For clients who meet eligibility requirements, we can provide financial assistance for cancer specific medications.
Transportation Reimbursement–
For individuals driving to and from chemotherapy or radiation treatments, a stipend is available for fuel reimbursement based on proximity to treatment location and financial need.
Nutritional Supplements–
Proper nutrition is important during treatment. We provide up to four cases each month for qualifying clients.
Supplies and Equipment
Equipment, Supplies, Wigs & Prostheses–During cancer treatment and even beyond, individuals may require supplies such as wheelchairs and shower stools, medical supplies, prostheses, bras, wigs, and hats. We have a selection of these supplies available in our office. If you require something else, we can arrange for that as well.
Social and Emotional Support
Social & Emotional Support- Educational Sessions and Support Groups are offered for cancer patients, patients' families, and caregivers dealing with the effects of a cancer diagnosis.
